Term 3 will began Monday, February 6, 2012 and will end Friday, March 30, 2012. Progress reports will be mailed around March 5, 2012. Progress reports will be available for the parent to pick up at "Parent Teacher Conferences" on March 1, 2012.
Term 4 will begin Monday, April 9, 2012, immediately following Spring Break (week of April 2 - 6, 2012). Progress reports for term 4 will be mailed the week of May 7, 2012.

Such announcements and reminders include but are not limited to, closing of school due to inclement weather, open house reminders, picture day reminders, athletic announcements/reminders, after school programming announcements, etc. If at any time you prefer not to receive these phone communications, please contact the Mt. Morris Schools administration offices and your name and phone number will be removed from the call list.

Registration for the 2011/2012 Alternative High School will begin Monday, January 9, 2012. Hours for registration will be 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Students 18 and 19 must bring
* a current transcript and behavior report from their former school.
Students age 15 to 17 must bring
*a parent or guardian
*birth certificate
*transcripts
*behavior report
*immunization record.
*****If you do not have these items you will not be allowed to register.

Mt Morris Alternative High School GED Registration Dates

You may register for GED class at the following times only. Registration for adults may take up to 2 hours. Please plan on providing your government issued identification such as a driver’s license, state identification card, or military identification card. If you are at least 20 years old you will need to pay $150 to take all five tests. Part of that fee due at registration is a $30 nonrefundable class participation fee.

Ongoing Registration will begin again on the following days and will begin promptly at 1:00pm until 3:00pm. The dates are as follows:

GED/ABE Classes Available
Where: GED Rooms 7, 8, 9 and Plato Lab
When: A.M. class time 8:45am – 12:30pm Monday –Friday
P.M. class time 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday
Computer Plato lab classes are available during class.
What: GED Pre-testing, Diagnostics and GED Books available for study.
Adults (20 and over) TABE pre-testing and post-testing is available.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes available in ALL subject areas in Plato Lab.

You must be a registered student and meet all necessary requirements before you can be signed up to take a GED test. ID is required at each testing session.
COLLEGE CATALOGUES
Catelogues from many colleges across the nation are availble for students. If your student is interested in a specific college they can ask a counselor or principal for access to those catelogues, or assistance in finding a college of their choice on line. There is also help available to completing applications to a college.
